With eCommerce it is much easier to ask for help in any time with online services 24 hours, specially for small bussiness trying to grow but as it is in any traditional bussiness it has its advantages and disadvantages, we will be talking about each one of them.

Online open stores: Online shops never close which makes more approachable when having costumers that will not necessary need to wait until the shop is open which is much better than the traditional way, whether if it is a holiday or some event people can stay at home and just simply search through the web looking for they alternative.

Instant Purchase:  Online sites gives you a detail description of the product that sometimes it could be much easier when buying a product, there is no need to walk around and find what you are looking for, the reason why is becauase is made for optimal convenience.

No geographic limits: Online shops are made for everyone no matter if you live next town, country or state online stores have the potential to reach for costumers accros the world. Technology help this to happen with the arrive of the mobile devices gives people the opportunity to purchase on the moment.

Promoting your products have never been so easy: Changing your a virtua space such a webpage is far more easy than dealing with a physical space where you are limited by the size or even by the price, promotions can reach to everyone of course with acces of internet.

Personal experience: The activity of the costumer is very important because the website can work with a personalized experience, this means that the website will shared similar products that the costumer look before or bought, this is a way to appeal to costumers with a deep level of similarity, a good example of this is amazon with the horizontal  scroll feature showing items to explore related to the products. The use of costumer data create a costum experience it is one of the reaons of Amazon's sucess.

Low overhead: Extra cost such as rent, staff or utilities make retail very expensive, but for many ecommerce sellers this is a posibiltiy for lower operation, Online stores need none of space they can run the website from a small room or even the garage, as the online store grows the need of employees grows as well, but the stakes are lower and adjusting is easy nowadays when it is not tied to a commercial lease. 

Costumer information: Every shop wether is online or a physical store has newsletter singups and other forms to gather and collect information therefore building a contact list, this is much efficient than a clipboard, also benefits the costumer because they can receive discounts or course it they have subscribed to the newsletter previously.

DISADVANTAGES

Internet: It is not a surprise that having an internet conection is essential these days wether if you are listening to music or even watching a video on the internet, and just thinking about making a payment and just the internet broke it is very frustrating, there is also the presence of identity theft.

Takes time buying: Plenty of options on the market makes hard to portray products, this is one of the disadvantages of online services, people can expect a good quality product but they can receive the total opposite of what they were looking. 

Online competition: With technology these days it is much easier and accsesible to any smart device, this is specially useful with ecommerce websites because everyone can have a glance of how an online store loook like, setting yourself on the market could be hard apart from the competition it means find perspectives and building an strong foundation and identity of your brand. 

Unpredictable shipping: Many cases or robbery or lost products is something companies deal with it all the time, this could lead to a challenging shipping. It is not full guarantee that the product can arrive without a single damage no matter how well packed or tracked it is. 

Retal growing: It is said that retail shops makes the total of 10% of sales, according to Forbers. Specially big companies maintain a strong retail presence so it is not a surprise.
