Advantages of Meta Tags

It is saving time: 

Meta Tags are quite useful because their porpuse is not meant to be long copy, They need to be short and precise otherwise your website will look confused for anyone who will read through out your code and of course we do not want that to happen.

They can inmediatly be used:

There is no such a thing as a strategy to lead searchers to a specific website because Google outlawed it since people mislead searchers by giving them wrong information in meta tags which is a good thing because there is no need to update the SEO as regularly.

Disadvantages of Meta Tags

Become more vulnerable: 

Showing excesive use of keywords are known as "Keyword Stuffing" and it can result in poor ranking from search engines, which is something that we do not want for our website.

Meta tags are easily influenced by individuals seeking to mislead people, This vulnerability result search engines to give less importance to meta tags.


Limited information:

A meta tag give a short information from a website and their content, therefore a lack of information from the source and it's context.

Users can be easily distracted when having complex content and they could not determine the relevancy and quality of a source which in this case is a webpage.
